Women's Basketball vs. UVA
On Sunday, UNC celebrated the 25th anniversary of the 1994 NCAA National Champion women’s basketball team on Alumni Day. That same afternoon, the Women's Basketball team played against Virginia. Paris Kea led the game with a team high 16 points. The Heels impressed the alumni with an overwhelming victory of 70-53. Carolina will host Boston College this Thursday at Carmichael Arena.

Women's Basketball vs. Boston College
The women's basketball team took down Boston College Thursday night, 93-78. Janelle Bailey was on fire, scoring a career-high 31 points. Bailey's outstanding performance throughout her career has earned her a spot in the top-10 finalists for the Lisa Leslie Award. Coach Sylvia Hatchell admires Bailey's strengths as a player.

Softball vs. Maryland
On the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader, the Heels took down the Maryland Terrapins. The Heels took the lead during the bottom of the 2nd inning and didn’t slow down. By the 3rd inning Carolina was winning 8-0. Maryland scored 5 runs during the 4th, but it wasn’t enough to match the power of UNC. With 3 more runs the Heels beat the Terrapins 11-5.

Softball vs. Florida Atlantic
The Heels played Florida Atlantic during the Carolina Classic this Saturday. The game started off slow. The Owls scored the game’s first 2 runs on the top of the 6th inning. Carolina didn’t settle and struck back with 6 runs on the bottom 6th. The Heels won 6-2 and prepared themselves for the next game of the doubleheader against Maryland.

The UNC Basketball team will be back on the court this Friday against Iona in round one of the NCAA tournament. Gymnastics: UNC vs. Towson
Play by Play The UNC Gymnastics swept the floor on Saturday against Towson. Khazia Hislop lead the Tar Heels in the vault with a 9.900 score... take another look at that beautiful tumble Mekyllah Williams dominated the bars scoring 9.800... what a smooth landing Hislop impressed the audience again on the beam getting second place tied with Rachel Dewhurst... they both stood out with a 9.800 punctuation Hislop took another top spot on the podium... look at her show off her graceful moves on the floor The Heels beat Towson 195.075 to 193.00. Carolina will have to keep up that high performance in the beam to beat NC State on Saturday.

Women's Basketball: UNC vs. Duke
The Carolina Women's Basketball team hit a rough patch during Thursday's game against Duke. Paris Kea's absence put the Blue Devils at an advantage and the Devils took advantage, winning 85-69. Coach Sylvia Hatchell said rebounding was the main weakness. The Tar Heels will play Clemson on Sunday.

Women's Basketball: UNC vs. GT
LEAD: The Heels continue on their winning streak after beating Georgia Tech during an intense game. VO: Stephanie Watts steals the ball... dribbles down the court fights the defense and scores Play by Play The ACC Player of the Week, Paris Kea, lead the team points with 29 followed by Janelle Bailey with 20. Along with Watts they were the key players that kept the team on top. The Heels and the Jackets battled all night with a low point difference. With both teams scoring back to back Carolina won the last point in a suspenseful las minute. Janelle Bailey scores a free throw to give the Tar Heels the victory with a 91-90.
