Hey hey hey sunnies!

I'm back! This post is a little different from the initial theme of the blog, but I just couldn't help it. I had the opportunity to go on a plane ride over Burlington... and how could I say no to this spontaneous adventure.

The truth is I've always wanted to get a pilot license. It is definitely on the top of my bucket list. It all goes back to my parents and their crazy romantic story... It was 1990 something. My mom was a young engineer who left home to start her career. Her dream was to become a pilot so after graduating she took a job in a town where she could work and get her license. One of her coworkers referred her to someone who could help her get her license. That someone was my father.

Long story short, after dating for a couple years, they got married and started a family. After having me, they never found the time to finish the program and get certified. But listening to their stories about exciting plane rides and thrilling trips, inspired me to follow after their footsteps and finish off what they started.

This weekend's plane ride over Carolina's beautiful skies confirmed what I always knew. I want to feel the freedom in the air and explore the wonders of the world. So after thinking, wanting and dreaming... I have officially decided to start my pilot's course this summer and get certified by the end of 2019.

Time flies... so let the countdown begin! ;)
