Sunnies sunnies!
The Atlanta getaway was amazing! We just had a day to tourist around so we tried to make the best out of it. And visiting the Aquarium of Georgia was the best decision!
I had been to aquariums in the past, but none of them were as incredible as this one. I mean it is the largest aquarium in the United States, so it's tough competition. My expectations were high and it didn't disappoint.
My top pick is definitely the dolphins show. It was impressive. The trainers would direct them to perform amazing tricks like flips, jumps or just funny skits. After that, I decided that dolphins are my spirit animal. They are so cheerful and friendly; I love them. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take video for this part... but I did record the other parts of the aquarium.
Overall watching the fishes swim was a very relaxing experience. However, I am not going to lie, I was very conflicted about how ethical it is. Even though they are in these giant tanks where they have space to swim, I still feel like they've been taken away their freedom. The aquarium still takes care of the animals and even has initiatives to help the ones that are out in the ocean.
I guess I would have to do more research and weigh down the pros and cons. Nevertheless, I do have to admit I did learn a lot about the different species and their ecosystems. And it is a great way to live something that otherwise would be imposible.
